1. I am in the UK. Is there a publication which will give advice on what constitutes first grade stone, particularly travertine, together with fixing and maintenance advice - also, bad practices to be avoided. 2. Laying travertine on a wet bed or screed - can this affect the performance of the tiles in any way, i.e. efflorescence, etc? Many thanks.

I installed honed amd filled travertine in my bedroom and bath. I cleaned it with a Miracle stone cleaner, sealed with 511 Impregnator and used a Miracle Stone Enhancer. My problem is the Enhancer. According to instructions it is brused on and wiped after 3 minutes. After two coats you can still see the brush marks and overall uneven look. After contacting Miracle they said I need to reapply until the coating evevns out. This stuff has a very strong odor and this seems to be a rather inefficient way to apply a product that you want smooth. My goal was to get a little sheen on the stone after sealing it.Any recommendations?
